Kustom US is pleased to announce it has acquired Abracadabra Restoration (“Abracadabra”), a Tucson-based, locally owned and operated residential and commercial turn-key contractor serving southern Arizona for over 36 years. Terms of the deal were not disclosed; however, the firm will still retain its name and branding, but will be operating as a division of Kustom.

In 1981, Breck Grumbles – CR, CMRS founded Abracadabra Restoration. Since then the company has provided the Tucson community with specialized services in 24-Hour emergency restoration of water, fire and mold damaged and has developed the most efficient system for residential and commercial water damage restoration services available in the market. The company’s knowledgeable team and exceptional customer service is what makes Abracadabra a valuable partner in joining the Kustom family.

“Abracadabra’s passionate staff and diverse skill set coupled with their deep understanding of the restoration industry makes them a valuable addition to the Kustom family,” says Andrew Zavodney, Chairman and CEO of Kustom. “Their 36-year history in the Tucson market will continue to help us grow as a customer focused partner in disaster restoration.”

Kustom, founded in 1968, is a Florida-based national property restoration firm. As part of their strategic long-term plan, Kustom is planning a series of acquisitions and division partnerships that will help them accelerate their brand recognition and customer reach in North America. The acquisition of Abracadabra will not only help Kustom expand its restoration service footprint to the entire state of Arizona, but will benefit the entire Abracadabra team.

Additionally, Abracadabra’s Breck Grumbles has announced his retirement after 37 years in the business. Travis Christensen, who has served as General Manager for the past 10 years will be taking an ownership position within the newly acquired division. Kustom is also excited to announce that the entire Abracadabra leadership team, including all employees will remain in place as well.

“After an extensive search for the right fit for both our employees and the Tucson community, we believe Kustom’s family owned and operated approach to property restoration will help us continue our tradition of local ownership and bring valuable resources that will help us serve the entire state of Arizona,” says Travis Christensen.
