Certifications Going Strong
IICRC Certification continues to be recognized and recommended by name by many major insurance companies and industry trade groups as the premier credentialing program for the restoration, cleaning and inspection industry. There are currently more than 53,000 active IICRC-certified technicians, many with multiple certifications and more than 6,000 Certified Firms around the world

Board Elections
The IICRC will appoint five new members to its Board of Directors during its annual Board meeting scheduled for Oct. 19-20. The Board meeting will be held in conjunction with the IICRC Shareholder (Oct. 17) and Certification Council (Oct. 18) meetings in Vancouver, WA.
Comprised of 15 industry leaders elected by the Institute’s shareholders, each major decision made within the organization is brought before the Board of Directors and its Executive Committee, which include the Chairman, First Vice President, Second Vice President, International Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary and Past Chairman.
The newly elected Board and Executive Committee members will be announced on Oct. 20, 2014, so stay tuned to the IICRC’s Twitter and Facebook accounts for live updates.
Calling on Volunteers
Are you interested in serving on a Consensus Body for the development of a new Standard? The IICRC is currently looking for Consensus Body volunteers for the new S210 Standard and Reference Guide for Dimension Stone Maintenance and Restoration. The S210 Standard will encompass the cleaning, maintenance, restoration, rehabilitation, preservation methodologies and repair for interior dimension stone.
This standard will be developed in accordance with the ANSI Essential Requirements as an American National Standard. Those interested in submitting an application to participate on the S210 Consensus Body, should contact Mili Washington, IICRC Standards Director, at [email protected].
