The Global Biorisk Advisory Council (GBAC) will be hosting a three and a half day training on Feb. 4-7 in Dallas, Tex., for cleaning and restoration industry to become Certified Forensic Operators. The Global Biorisk Advisory Council is where the techniques of forensic cleaning and professional disinfecting meet the sciences of biorisk management and infection control and becomes the art and discipline known now as Forensic Restoration.
"When you really begin to see Forensic Restoration for what it is, then you will understand that Forensic Restoration is really microbial warfare and GBAC trains the finest microbial warriors in the world," said Jeff Jones, Director of Forensic Operations Global Biorisk Advisory Council and a Certified Forensic Operator.
Forensic Restoration® is the comprehensive response and remediation to situations and structures that are contaminated or suspected to be contaminated with bio-hazardous materials. The objective of Forensic Restoration® is to return situations and structures to pre-event conditions. Forensic Restoration® includes but is not limited to the remediation of situations involving:
- Known and unknown infectious diseases/biohazardous materials
- Crime and trauma scenes
- Unattended deaths
- Unsanitary dwellings and conditions
- Hoarding
- Bio-terrorism
- Human and animal biological materials
- Mass Casualty Incidents
