Small businesses continue to grow and pay workers more, but there are signs of moderation.

The R&R Roundtable was designed to bring a number of viewpoints on restoration-related topics together in one place. This month, five companies specializing in mold remediation are sharing their viewpoints on product options, training, remediation misconceptions, and more.

Since its inception in 2016, nearly 200 women have been nominated for R&R’s Women in Restoration award. Each year the field seems to become broader and more competitive, with nominations becoming more in-depth and elaborate! This year’s nominees included owners, VPs, project managers, technicians, operations managers, marketing and sales, and more.

The 2019 Contractor Connection Conference & Expo continues a 20-plus year tradition of being the premier insurance restoration industry event of the year, providing educational, training, and networking opportunities for all attendees.

San Diego, California may not be the first city that comes to mind when you think of the restoration industry. A dry desert climate, surfing and the Pacific Ocean typically come to mind first. In the small East San Diego County town of Lakeside, best known for its rodeo and small town charm, the first meeting for The Restoration Association was held on March 21st, 2018.

What does the cleaning and restoration industry look like in 2019? That seems like a billion (maybe trillion) dollar question. If any of us knew the answer, we might very well not be reading (or writing) this piece.

They say familiarity breeds contempt. Perhaps that is the inspiration for this piece. Or maybe it’s just that after 17 years of dealing with the same issue, you lose patience with it. Especially when the solution seems so simple. At least on the surface.
