Mili Washington, standards director with the IICRC, discusses the importance of industry standards, the value of ANSI accreditation, the rigorous and lengthy process of developing a new standard, the business case for embracing them, and on implementing them, and a highlight reel of standards in the works.
Through this partnership, the IICRC is teaming with more than 100 other leading organizations to serve as the voice of the certification community with respect to state-level legislative or regulatory actions that would affect the value of certifications.

After receiving questions pertaining to the ANSI/IICRC S500: 2015 Standard and Reference Guide for Professional Water Damage Restoration and the use of air filtration devices (AFD’s) in different categories of water intrusions, the IICRC’s S500 consensus body has released a Statement of Interpretation (PDF) to clarify and interpret the relevant language.
