Hurricane Harvey made landfall in Texas on the evening of Friday, Aug. 25. In three days, Harvey dumped several feet of water on Texas – including 16 inches in Houston on Aug. 27 alone, making it the city’s wettest day in history. Harvey also spawned tornadoes and a lot of wind damage. Experts believe it will take years to restore the damage Harvey has done, but restoration contractors didn’t wait to respond. While the rain still came down and water was high, companies hopped in their boats and trucks to do water rescues. Once the rain stopped and water receded, it was all hands on deck to start drying out the thousands of properties underwater. It’s a process that won’t be over anytime soon.
