IICRC Technical Conference

The IICRC will hold its 2018 Technical Conference Sept. 27-28, at the Golden Nugget Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas. The theme for this year’s conference will be ‘Trauma and Crime Scene Cleanup.’

Featuring a suite of expert speakers in the field of trauma and crime scene cleanup, the conference will offer attendees an inside look at what it takes to work in this niche field. It will also provide an excellent networking and learning opportunity for those looking to diversify into and get involved with another area of cleaning and restoration.

Attendees will hear directly from first responders who will discuss their experiences responding to trauma, crime scene and mass-casualty events, as well as how we as an industry can make the process of forensics and all the steps that follow as smooth as possible.

IICRC Elections

The IICRC’s 2018/2019 election process is underway, which means there will soon be some new faces at the IICRC Board of Directors table.

In May of each year, the IICRC Nominating Committee begins soliciting nominations for the next year’s Board. After much review of each nominee’s qualifications, the committee announces the final candidates to the Shareholders who then vote to elect the new members during their fall shareholders meeting. Following the election, the newly elected Board members then elect their officers.

The newly elected Board and Executive Committee members will be announced following the IICRC Shareholder and Board of Directors meetings held Oct. 1 in Las Vegas. Throughout the meetings, we will post live updates and photos to our Twitter and Facebook accounts, so be sure to follow us for the latest news.

If you are interested in playing a bigger role within the IICRC, there are many opportunities for participation; whether on a technical committee or working on industry standards development. For more information on how you can get involved, email [email protected]
