The Indoor Air Quality Association (IAQA) is hosting its 2022 Annual Meeting & Expo February 22-25 in Tucson, Ariz., at the Westin La Paloma Resort & Spa. In this episode of Ask the Expert, IAQA President Jay Stake discusses the educational program of more than 40 sessions on topics including infectious diseases, mold remediation, regulations and standards, and more. He shares educational highlights for restoration and remediation professionals, talks about IAQA 2022 initiatives, and notes key IAQ industry themes for the year ahead.

“We’re the only trade organization in the indoor air quality arena that connects all parts of the industry to collaborate and grow. Our membership is 40% consultants, 40% contractors and 20% other, which is academia, laboratories, government, students, etc.,” Stake said. “It takes all of these and it starts blending theme together because one really can’t survive without the other.”

The annual event brings together contractors, consultants and other professionals across the entire spectrum of the indoor air quality industry for learning and networking. The conference and expo is designed for professionals involved with mold, asbestos, indoor air quality, chemicals, radon, cannabis, HVAC, building science, industry standards and government regulations, infectious diseases, health and wellness, and natural disasters. “This year is going to be big,” Stake said.
